Quick First Impressions: Tears to Tiara and Hanasakeru Seishounen

riannonDespite these two not being on my watch list, I thought I’d give it a try and for once, I realized I wasted my time on watching one of them(almost). I blame myself for watching something I didn’t find interesting in the first place. But trying doesn’t hurt right? Well, I was wrong.

To be honest, this show brought me to tears of despair when I watched it. I mean, I don’t have a thing for most fantasy series especially when they’re classified with fictional-history because it bores me to the core. Some may find this ‘okay’ or enticing to watch but what is it exactly that attracts one to this show? Is it the plot or what?

They said that the game was a hit, but to me, everything was soooo meh. Demon Lord? Sacrifices? Isn’t that just plain absurd? I agree that the characters look good enough to be bishies (which really decides the fate of me watching an anime who’s plot is downright crazy) but it just didn’t give a good impression on me.

The animation and the character designs are nice. The plot, ugh the plot! I can’t care enough to this show because of the plot; is this some indirect siscon or what? But heck I was stunned when Arawn came out of his coffin – that alone.

I’d try and watch episode 2 and see if my mind will change but I highly doubt it so for the mean time, sayonara Tears to Tiara~ </3

The premise looks interesting(though somewhat cliche) and all but I, being a great critique when it comes to the character design and animation can’t help but point that out being one turn-off for me watching it. I guess I can’t complain because that’s how they are designed but it was somewhat distracting. *smacks self for being such a critique*

My first reaction when she was called a bishoujo was, ‘You call this boy-looking girl a bishoujo!?‘ Apparently that’s how the ‘story’ goes. No kudos for that. Anyways, there’s just something, despite the said imperfections, that makes me want to watch more of it. Is it the plot? Is it the unknowing hints of shoujo-ai? Nahh. Is it for me to discover who the other bishies are? No. I’ve seen them in the pictures spread online and I don’t care about them at all. They don’t look like bishies to me but meh. OR is it Li Ren? :O

All in all, the series makes me curious on what will happen next. Most likely not blogging but will be watching.
